Welcome to Quixtar's The Best For You - A blog about Optimal Health
healthy business, another view

Alison, funny you should post on this topic today...I wanted to, as well.

I attended the "Healthy Business" Instructor-led Training (ILT) session yesterday, and it blew my doors off!

Sure, part of that was the presenter, Chip Wall, who has 11 years' experience training IBOs in the field for Quixtar and a phenomenal on-stage presence. He's funny, engaging, smart, attentive to learners' concerns, and able to illustrate his points with anecdotes.

It doesn't hurt that he's usually the butt of his own stories, which quickly reduces any perceived distance from his audience, making them sympathetic and open to remembering what he says.

But what about the content? It's great, no matter who's presenting, as Alison's blog will tell you. And on her blog, you’ll find what probably matters most to you: what other IBOs think and feel after taking the Healthy Business course.

Me, I’m just sending a shout-out to Alison's awesome team for setting the stage and upping the ante for the rest of us!

Cathy, can you share with us, since you've now been through the course, if it addresses a "Health" business from a wholistic, global perspective, INCLUDING the Gensona DNA risk prediction tests as one of the tools in the Optimal Health toolbox of products that Alticor/Nutrilite provides for those wanting to build a health-focused business?

Second question to you is a follow-up from earlier: Have YOU taken both of the Gensona tests, and have YOU done your free online Personalized Health Online Questionnaire? :)  I'm absolutely certain as 'Health Editor' and as the author/host of the 'Optimal Health' blog you have, but just wanted to hear you say so. :)

With appreciation,

rdknyvr, you are so good at this!

Q1: There is a soupcon of Personalized Health in the current Your Healthy Business ILT. Just a dash, just enough to spice the dish. The real claim to a holistic approach is introducing, for the first time, specific retail selling skills in addition to product information. The course title refers to the potential of building a prosperous business through retailing, and a healthier life through supplementing. It's more of a "what" than a how (PH being a how)

Q2: You might well have imagined I had taken the DNA tests, considering how long they're been on the market and considering my role in editing all the support materials for that launch! But if you did, you'd be wrong.

There was a suggestion from an IBO out in Vancouver (Wait -- don't you live in the west?)that I use the occasion to video myself taking the test to show just how simple it is and I am planning to do that as soon as my test kits arrive.

You will forgive, won't you that it will be a real amateur video, not an elaborately scripted and staged "amateur video" and thus may lack the production qualities we're used to?

I have done the Health Questionnaire but w/o the test results. I'll redo the HQ when I have the results and, per your suggestion, tape that, too.

With true appreciation for the care and attention you give to the OZ and the level to which you raise the discourse (and the important issues), I remain your friendly Health Editor, C.

Welcome to OZ, Cathy. I look forward to your eloquent posts. And thank you for being such a passionate advocate of training.
